Cricket is not Baseball; Dont try teaching it to the Nihonjins
Never try it ...... A couple of weeks back Rieko drove all the way to Shizouka to watch our cricket game and in between innings, she got this crazy idea about learning cricket...... I was dead tired but then couldnt refuse cause yeah,,, its not that easy to drive for almost three hours to watch a game you dont know a shit about..... So started with how to pitch, and for some weired reason she wanted me to bat while she pitches the ball .... And for some reasons my instincts were kind of saying ..... NO Aman, dont do that, its not a good idea but as always she wont give you a choice.
So she pitches the first delivery with a cricket ball and was supposed to be a outswing but I dont know why it became an inswinger and started turning the other way .... Tried to duck under the ball but guess was a bit too late, hit me on my face, broke one tooth ..... And well ...... like every other Japanese I have known ...... I had these loads of sumimasenssssss. Now you cant do much when its Rieko but believe me, I felt like killing her ..... But as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, I was kind of lucky cause coincidently she is my dentist too and I forced her into paying all the bills + and also a free dinner at Mango Tree .... A good deal right .... May be not .... will wait till she fixes my tooth and then decide if it was worth it ......
Oh by the way, the tooth she broke was hurting me for more than five years now, and always was kind of scared to get it pulled out....

Soccer Club - Celebrating the Differences
Our Soccer Club ----- Celebrating the Differences.
Joined this soccer club six months back. It was fun playing with all these people, and playing a game which I have never been fond of but it wasnt only about soccer, it was more about meeting and making all these friends, and also about celebrating all our defeats, cause last whole season we havent won any game, hehehe. Infact, whole season we just scored one goal; we lost that game 4-1, but Maiko proved once again that she is the best player in our team.
But as all good things come to an end, the season is over and we all are getting a bit too busy to take out time for soccer. Have enjoyed every single defeat, every single moment, every single fight with this team, hehe, right Rie ..... Time to move on, but yeah as our team promo guess, WE DID CELEBRATE THE DIFFERENCES, celebrated each moment, especially the party at Roppongi after losing to the Dragons 11-0 . We were not able to achieve much as far as the game goes but then we achieved things which are much more important and much more meaningful.
